02901 Advanced Topics in Machine Learning: Latest developments in machine learning at ICML2021

July 14-22, 2021 - Depending on COVID-19 restrictions, the course may be held virtually and followed from home.

Description

The summer school will be held in conjunction with ICML 2021. Thus, registration for this virtual conference is mandatory as part of participating in this summer school. The summer school will cover aspects of the conference with the following preliminary required deliverables to be included in a report handed in a week after the conference:

• One of the tutorial sessions will be reviewed (1 page).

• Five articles will be summarized in half a page (5 x 1/2 page=2.5 pages).

• One or more key results from a choosen article will be reproduced based on authors' code and a brief summary of the approach and reproduced results disseminated (2 pages).

• Log book of attended talks and group discussions (1 page).

Requirements

General understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, mathematics and computer science. Programming experience, ideally in Python. The course will be held vertually and followed from home.

Registration

To register please sign up here no later than 13th of June. For academics (masters and PhD students) there is no registration fee for the course. However, PhD students outside of DTU have to further register here.

For all other participants a course fee of DKK 8250 will be charged and apart from signing up additional registration must be completed here.
